Andriy Shevchenko has stated that his priority is not to return to Chelsea next season.
The Ukraine international, who scored against England in the 2-1 defeat at Wembley, is back in good form and set up Filippo Inzaghi in Milan’s 2-0 win over Lecce.
Shevchenko has confirmed being happy with life at the San Siro despite his lack of action, with the forward willing to extend his stay next year.
“My wish is to stay a Milan player next season; no decision has been taken yet,” Shevchenko declared during the presentation of the Milan Golf Tour 2009.
“I am experiencing a sweet moment with the goal I scored at Wembley and the way I helped Milan last night [Sunday].
“In a word I would say that I am happy. What I want to do is carry on this way and give the best from myself until the end of the season.”
