Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has declared themselves favourites for their Champions League semi against Manchester United.

The first-leg will be played at Old Trafford and Wenger said: "History always has a little part to play.

"I believe both teams Manchester United and Arsenal, always produce very exciting games. Both like to go forward. It will be a promising semi-final. We're relishing the challenge.

"It's maybe 55% in favour of the side at home in the second game in terms of going through. What's interesting is both teams have the same programme – a game in hand to play, an FA Cup semi-final, so how much we can manage to be physically well on the day will have a big impact."

And what chance a reprise of the goalfest served up by Chelsea and Liverpool?

"Sometimes a minus and a minus makes a plus. Sometimes two attacking teams can cancel each other out," he said.

    Toure - United are favourites

Kolo Toure has begun the mind games between Arsenal and Manchester United by claiming their opponents are the favourites to progress from their UEFA Champions League semi-final meeting.

The Gunners booked their place in the last four of Europe's elite competition after a 4-1 aggregate victory over Spanish side Villarreal.

United, meanwhile, claimed a hard-fought 3-2 aggregate success against Porto, with winger Cristiano Ronaldo netting the decisive goal in the second leg.

Toure is now eagerly anticipating Arsenal's clash versus the European champions, having defeated their rivals in the Premier League earlier this season.

He said: "We are in the semi-final. We have fresh players. We played with a new defence today [Wednesday] and we did very well.

"Now we need to get ready for Saturday against Chelsea. We will have to face (Didier) Drogba, who is always good against us.

"For the Champions League, I think we are not favourites as United are the champions.

"However, they know we can beat them, so we are looking forward to it. Bring them on."

    lol, no worries lar

it will be a very close match for both teams and both legs

whoever wins, doesnt meant that the losing team is not good

being able to reach the semis is already considered good enough

Arsenal winger Walcott: Man Utd will be scared.

After victory over Villarreal, Arsenal wing ace Theo Walcott is convinced Manchester United will be worried ahead of their Champions League semifinal.

He said: "There is a lot of confidence in the dressing room, everyone is buzzing. We feel every team are scared of us as soon as we step on the pitch. It's great to play when things are going like that.

"We are playing brilliant football and scoring goals from all sorts of positions which helps the team.

"We are defending well and even though we have players out injured, others are coming in and doing just as good a job.

"It will be difficult against United but we play them regularly in the Premier League and do very well against them. They are probably the best team in the world but as long as we dig in, I'm sure we'll be fine."
