Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed he would be interested in signing David Beckham if the England midfielder became available ahead of next year's World Cup finals
Beckham, currently on loan at AC Milan from LA Galaxy until the end of the Serie A season, will require an additional loan spell to maintain his match-fitness ahead of the 2010 South Africa showpiece, with next season's MLS campaign ending as early as October.
And following reports that Spurs would attempt to lure the former England skipper to White Hart Lane for the second half of the 2009/10 Premier League season, Redknapp admitted he would not turn down the opportunity to bag Goldenballs should it present itself.
“I have not thought about David Beckham, but it would be disrespectful of me to say I would not be interested in him, were he to become available," he said.
“David Beckham is a fantastic player, but he is also a terrific role model and a terrific professional. If the opportunity was there to sign him, any club would have to think about it.
“He would still be a terrific player. His delivery of the ball
remains exceptional, he is a great trainer and he is a local boy from
up the road.”
However, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder's
current club, AC Milan, are expected to try and persuade Beckham to
return to the San Siro next year, with the 33-year-old having proved a
success in Serie A since arriving in January.
“I hope Beckham comes back to us but from now until the January transfer window he will definitely be in Los Angeles,” said Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani.
Sure or not?

Between him and Lennon I'd rather have him, Lennon is someone who dribbles the ball halfway down the pitch then loses it. If i were Capello maybe I'd play Lennon for 70 minutes or so then introduce Beckham
