Man Utd boss Ferguson confident flagging Lyon will sell Benzema.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to launch a new bid for Olympique Lyon star Karim Benzema.

The Mirror says Fergie has been on the trail of the hitman for a year but was priced out of a swoop last summer when he turned instead to Dimitar Berbatov.

Now United are plotting a second attempt for Benzema with French giants Lyon at risk of missing out on a Champions League slot.

Lyon wanted around £40m for Benzema a year ago and were in a position to hold onto their home-grown starlet. Now the striker, anxious to stay in Europe’s elite competition, may push for the move himself.

If Lyon drop their asking price considerably United would snap up Benzema in an instant - which would mean the end of Carlos Tevez’s chances of being signed permanently.

Ferguson’s top spies were at Lyon’s game with Paris Saint Germain at the weekend when Benzema and his pals fired blanks.

Statistics actually show that Berbetov is better than Tevez. Though i like Tevez more

hard work always produces result????? hahahahaha ya... then run like a mad dog every single match would probably ensure that you'll end up with something at the end of the season... just that it might not be the title thats all....

some of the very best footballer can hardly run, they know their weakness and work on the other aspect which is their football brain, making the best outta their passing and so on... but i've agreed that BBT is kinda crappy, he is probably inbetween the hardworking without brain and clever but cant run, which probably means he is lazy and stupid....

like that SAF abit bastard tevez. tevez abit floating for a while now. thought he could play permanently for man u, if bezema really comes in, + BBT, i think good bye. but i also prefer tevez then BBT. definitely better then BBT imo.
