Wenger reject huge offer to stay with Arsenal

  Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has rejected a £40 million offer from Real Madrid representatives.

  The News of the World says Real's president-elect Florentino Perez was desperate to lure the Frenchman to Spain but the Gunners boss has decided to stay in England.

  Wenger would have been handed a five- year deal which, with bonuses for winning the Champions League and La Liga, would have added up to almost £8m a year. He was also promised a free hand on recruitment by Perez, who also wanted him to eventually become Madrid's sporting director.

  However, despite being flattered by the deal, Wenger has decided to stay put and will sign a new deal at the Emirates which will tie him to Arsenal for at least another three years.

  thats great, what for joined Real Madrib, where fans and its board all want instant successes. if you do not win trophies in your first or second season, off you go. How many managers have come and go at not only Real, but Barcelona as well. If he were to go there and did not win anything in his first season, he would be sacked, so its good foresight not to join them.

  i mean it is better to work in a company that support you and 100% behind your work. of coz pay must also be reasonable.

  Arsene Wenger isn't just involved with what happens on the pitch or training alone, he's also involved with a lot of other things behind the scenes.
