Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is desperate to play a role in their Champions League defence after seeing his teammates lift the trophy last year - as a fan.
He said: "I went across to Moscow as a fan with my dad.
"I was sat in the crowd and it wasn't hard for me and I didn't think it could be me out there, because I had been at Sunderland for six months.
"But this is a new season for me.
"I have come in and as far as I am concerned, last season is just history.
"For me, it's just a matter of helping the team the best I can and to get some personal success as well."
