no doubt this guy is a class act.. saw him against barca.
but as a MU fan, I hate to lose Ronaldo..
Wayne Rooney has told setanta.com that Franck Ribery would be a ‘good addition’ to the Manchester United squad following speculation that the Bayern Munich star is a target for Sir Alex Ferguson.
Reports on Tuesday claimed that United have tabled a world-record £62.5 million bid for the 2008 Bundesliga Player of the Year – some £20 million more than Real Madrid paid for his compatriot and predecessor as France’s playmaker, Zinedine Zidane, in 2001.
It is reported that Ribery, 26, features highly on Ferguson’s list of possible replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo should the Portuguese forward move to Real, but Barcelona are also believed to be strong admirers of the former Marseille and Galatasaray star.
And while Rooney is unaware of any interest in Ribery, with United playing down reports of an official approach being made, the striker believes the reputed target is of the calibre required by the Champions League finalists and Premier League leaders.
“He is a great player and we like to bring top class players to the club,” Rooney told setanta.com following the club’s Champions League semi-final win over Arsenal.
“I’m sure if the manager and everyone else is interested in him and he can come here then he will be a good addition for us.
“I think he is a great player. I haven’t heard anything about it but I think he is a great player.”

Don't think Ribery and Messi are similiar, I think you're right in saying he's more similar to Nasri.

Man U wanting Ribery to join them in itself is not the weird part, but does the transferfee amount being talked about make sense?
Not that sense and you go together anyway.

Sir Alex Ferguson has laughed off reports of a blockbusting bid for Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery.
The France international has been forwarded as a candidate for a summer switch to Manchester United, presumably if Cristiano Ronaldo departs for Real Madrid.
Ronaldo, who scored twice in the Champions League semi-final win at Arsenal, continues to pledge his future to United and a move of such magnitude for Ribery does appear unlikely.
"What can we get for £70 million?" Ferguson joked to the German media.
"No, there's nothing in it."
Ronaldo, meanwhile, has reiterated that his 'dream move' to the Bernabeu is now dead.
"I have answered that question many times," he informed Antena 3 after the 3-1 triumph.
"I am very happy here, I want to stay here and I am very focused on winning the Champions League."

The 26-year-old has imposed himself as a very efficient attacking midfielder in the German league, and he is expected to step up to a bigger club this summer, but he says he is his own man and will not be forced to any club by his agents.
“My agents advise me, communicate the offers, but I am the one that will take the final decision,” Ribery told Bild.
“All I can say is that several teams are interested in me. We will see what happens in a few weeks’ time.
"The current situation is that I am under contract with Bayern until 2011.”
i thought last season it was rumoured that he going to arsenal? but arsenal 4ever too poor to afford him
Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has insisted that Franck Ribery will not be transferred this summer - even for £62 million.
The France winger has been linked to a host of clubs in the recent past, including Manchester United and Barcelona, after two fantastic seasons in the Bundesliga.
Reports, which have since been dismissed by Sir Alex Ferguson, have even claimed that The Red Devils are ready to launch a spectacular £62 million bid, but Hoeness feels he is worth more.
“For €70 million, we will not let Franck Ribery leave,” he said in Kicker.
