SUMMER PLANS ... Harry Redknapp wants players in their prime
The Tottenham boss is looking to change the club's transfer policy, with the emphasis having previously been on signing youngsters with a sell-on value.
The likes of Adel Taarabt, Giovani Dos Santos and Kevin-Prince Boateng have all been bought in the past two seasons but have failed to crack the first team.
And now Redknapp wants to focus on stars with proven quality to complement his youthful squad.
He said: "You have to keep moving forward. I just want players who can come in and make us a better team.
“The players that I have in mind are playing very well and are in their prime.
“I’ll sit down with the chairman this week and have a chat and see where we go.
“I’ve got one or two people I’d like to bring in, whether we can get them I don’t know.
“If we could get the couple of players I’d like I think we’d be a good side next year.”
