Players aren't scared of signing for Reds - Benitez

Rafa Benitez insists he is not concerned that the Robbie Keane disaster will deter players from signing for Liverpool.
Benitez has already identified his summer targets, and it will surely be the top end of the field that the Spaniard looks to bolster after injuries to Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard hampered their season.
Keane was supposed to be the third leg in an attacking tripod but, after featuring in Liverpool’s first 17 games of the season, it quickly became clear that the £20 million man was not working.
Now Benitez will try again, with Valencia trio David Villa, David Silva, and Juan Mata all linked, and the Liverpool boss is confident players will relish – not duck - the chance of playing with Torres and Gerrard.
"Everyone knows how good Torres and Gerrard are and they do play very well together," said Benitez.
"But we have 60 games or so a season. That means there are going to be plenty of chances for everyone, so I don't think it would be a problem.
"Obviously it depends on the quality of the players, but I don't think it is going to be a problem. I think we will manage.
"We have been working hard identifying players, it is just a question of signing the right ones, and I am confident we will."

you keep hearing the same stupid song.. everything about the club is either torres or Gerrard.. U may be one club's captain, top scorer, but when U move to Pool, immediately, U are second rated. So what if U dream supported team is Pool, the minute U injured, U lose your pace, U are out of the place.. Money is not that great..
U have to wait near two decades to win the league title.. U are so lucky cause U get a shot at UCL, even if U are 4 or 5th in the league, but then, U have to thank the other team for collapsing for you to win instead of your own brillance.
No matter where you go, ex-reds are shouting into your ears to do their way.. And lastly before you sleep, U have to kiss Rafa's statue 5 thousands time...

hey icefatboy, let me correct your ignorance. songs represent our history and passion unlike some other teams which they dont even have! torres and gerrard are iconic players (do you know anything about marketing? this is marketing! looks the lfc scores well on business level too) being the captain or top scorer of xxx club does not mean u are an automatic choice. that proves how competitive lfc is, but then again u have to justify which club captain and league top scorer. the minute u are injured, there will be players competing for your place and everyone out there are trying to prove their worth! are u afraid of competition? issue on money - that only proves that our players are not money grabbers and they play with passion.waiting to win silverwares is part and parcel of football. we are fans not glory hunters. if uefa allow us to compete, that means we are worthy competitor. who are u to judge? mayb when u become uefa president? but i doubt so given your capability!
