Speculation linking Argentina striker Diego Milito with a move to Manchester United is likely to increase after the player’s agent admitted he has travelled to England for talks with interested parties.
Milito, 29, has proved himself one of Europe’s most accomplished finishers in recent seasons and after leaving Real Zaragoza following their relegation from the Spanish top flight, has scored 19 times in 27 Serie A games following his return to Genoa.
His prolific form at the club which first launched his career in Europe back in 2004 has naturally led to interest from bigger clubs and both Inter and Milan are believed to be strong admirers of the striker.
But Milito has also been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham and his agent has fuelled talk of a move to The Premier League by revealing he is holding talks with English clubs.
“I am in London and I am talking to some teams,” Hidalgo told Calciomercato,it.
“I cannot say which clubs they are, I can only say that they are important.
“Of course [England is an attractive destination for Milito], otherwise I would not be here.”
