Not only are Liverpool the one remaining side in The Premier League yet to receive a red card this season, but they have also developed a habit of drawing red cards from their opposition.
So far this campaign 10 opposing players have been shown their marching orders when facing The Reds, three more than the next on the list, Manchester City.
Last season only three opposition players were sent off against Liverpool, with Manchester United (10) profiting from the most time playing against 10 men.
But Rafa Benitez’s side have definitely wised up this season, and not only have they kept their own discipline but have also managed to draw some hideous fouls from the opposition.
Xabi Alonso has been the best exponent of this, 'winning' six of the 10 red cards that have been awarded to the opposition in the Prermier League this season.
West Ham will have to be on their guard against Liverpool in front of Setanta cameras and ensure their discipline is spot on.
The referee in charge of this encounter is Alan Wiley who has sent two players off this season, United’s Nemanja Vidic, and Wigan’s Antonio Valencia, both against Liverpool.
