Liverpool set for players CLEAR-OUT

  Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is ready to boost his transfer kitty with several sales this summer.

  The News of the World says Benitez has sold Jack Hobbs to Leicester for around £1m, while others certain to go are Ryan Babel, Andrea Dossena plus on-loan duo Andriy Voronin and Sebastian Leto.

  Benitez also believes he will get more cash by slashing the wage bill, with big earner Jermaine Pennant set to quit Merseyside for Valencia on a Bosman.

  Keeper Charles Itandje is also being forced out of the club for disciplinary reasons, while Swiss defender Philipp Degen has been a disastrous signing.

  Albert Riera is also vulnerable as Benitez is considering a £12m swoop for Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing.

  Wah... Rafa got a lot of money to play with ah...

  No.1 priority is English players... Pool got no English players after Gerrard liao... So Barry, Downing and Johnson are his no1 priorities...

  Can the sale of those 4 raise £30m? Then what will happen to the other targets like Silva and Barry? Liverpool always want this and that but at the end of the day, no money...so gotta settle for cheaper players...so far the record signing is Torres for £26m?

  Should just sell a few fringe players and use the money to buy another top class player.

   

  One, having a class player is self explanatory.

   

  Two, this means the remaining players will have more games to play instead of being rotated around every few games.
