Sunderland striker Djibril Cisse expects to be joining Tottenham in the summer, it has been revealed.
The Daily Mail says Cisse has stunned his Sunderland team-mates by telling them: "I'm joining Tottenham in the summer."
Sunderland's on-loan Marseille striker revealed his transfer plans on Friday after reacting angrily to being told he would not be in the starting line-up at Bolton the following day.
Unhappy at being sacrificed for a safety-first 4-5-1 formation, his mood took another turn for the worse on hearing the lone striker's role had gone to his arch-rival Kenwyne Jones.
The pair have an intense dislike of each other, and Cisse responded to manager Ricky Sbragia's selection by going into what was described as a "massive sulk" and repeatedly claiming he was bound for White Hart Lane at the end of the season.
Marseille had tentatively agreed a fee of 10million euros with Sunderland for Cisse but are now keen to negotiate with Tottenham, whose manager Harry Redknapp has been on the look-out for more firepower.
