Hillsborough memorial match

More than 25,000 Liverpool fans flocked to Anfield last night for the Hillsborough memorial match.
There were more than a dozen Liverpool greats on show, including the likes of Ian Rush, Kenny Dalglish and Alan Hansen.
The match raised money for Dalglish’s wife Marina’s appeal to raise funds for a new radiotherapy centre at a nearby hospital, as well as marking the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.
Teddy Sheringham – pantomime villain for the night because of his Old Trafford history – scored for the All Stars opposition with a stunning chip. Rush and John Aldridge both scored for the Liverpool Legends, and Dalglish knocked in the third as the Reds won 3-1.
