Patrice Evra claims some Arsenal players tackled him unfairly at Old Trafford because they ‘did not understand his humour’.
The Manchester United left back, who called the Champions League clash with The Gunners a match between ‘men and children’, has said he was teasing the Londoners.
The young players expressed their anger at the defender on Saturday, with some Gunners giving special treatment to him, including Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie.
Evra has ironically reacted and explained his words by saying he was just ‘teasing’ Arsenal, but instead of playing down the controversy, he has once again attacked them by claiming they may be jealous of United’s success.
“They did not understand my humour,” Evra said on Canal+. “I like teasing.
“During the game the referee came to tell me he was going to protect me and that I should not make mistakes.
“Maybe they are jealous because we are champions and qualified for the Champions League final.”

Manchester United full back Patrice Evra has accused Arsenal of trying to kick him out of the game during the 0-0 draw that gave the club the title on Saturday.
It is believed several members of Arsenal's squad had been upset on hearing that Evra had described them as "babies" after United knocked them out of the Champions League.
Evra said: "They did not understand my humour. I like teasing. Maybe they are jealous because we are champions and have reached the Champions League final."
