Arshavin: We need new roads just for women

Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin may have made a stunning impact on the pitch in the Premier League, but he is also causing quite a stir off it as well.
The diminutive Russian has made an explosive start to his career in English football - netting six goals in 11 league outings, including four against Liverpool at Anfield.
However, the £15 million signing from Zenit St Petersburg may now have to feel the wrath of women worldwide, after launching two seperate stinging attacks on the driving skills of the female sex.
“If I had it in my power to introduce a ban on women driving cars and to withdraw all their licences, I would do it without thinking twice," he told the Russian media.
"In my opinion a woman and a man are two absolutely different creatures.”
And if those comments did not quite hammer home his point regarding female motorists, the Gunners' playmaker was recently offered the opportunity to retract his initial comments.
An opportunity he turned down...
"I would never give driving lessons to women," he said in the Daily Mail.
"We need to build new roads for them. Why? Because you never know what to expect from a woman on the road.
"If you see a car behaving weirdly, swerving and doing strange things, before you see the driver you know it is a woman. It is always a woman."
