Manchester United are set to wear an all-white strip against Barcelona in next Wednesday's Champions League final in Rome.
Pep Guardiola's side were awarded 'home team' status at the Stadio Olimpico and will sport their traditional home strip of maroon and blue stripes.
While Sir Alex Ferguson's charges have elected to wear their
third-choice strip, meaning they will strongly resemble the
Catalans' fierce rivals Real Madrid.
United wore white when they beat Barcelona 2-1 in the 1991 Cup
Winners' Cup final in Rotterdam.
It was also the Red Devils' colour of choice in the first leg of the sides' Champions League semi-final clash 12 months ago.
And they, again, appeared in white attire in both group stage games against Barca in the 1999 Champions League.
Both ties famously ended 3-3, with the Old Trafford outfit going on to win the trophy, beating Bayern Munich in the final at Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium.
Good luck to fans of both Manchester United and Barcelona, & may the best team wins.
