Quaresma rejects Genoa move

Genoa have revealed they are poised to bring in Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma.

Quaresma is currently contracted to Inter Milan but he was loaned out to Chelsea in the winter transfer window after a quiet first half to the season.

Luiz Felipe Scolari was then sacked as manager just days after his arrival at Stamford Bridge and Quaresma has barely featured under Guus Hiidink.

Jose Mourinho stated last week that Quaresma could still have a future at Inter, but Genoa have now confirmed he will be a Grifoni player next term.

"There is an agreement with Quaresma and we will get him in joint ownership (with Inter) for 10 million euros (£8.8m)," said Genoa president Enrico Preziosi.

The 25-year-old, who has previously spent time with Barcelona and Porto, will be joined at Genoa by former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo.

The Argentine's contract with Inter ends this summer and Genoa look set to win the race for his signature.

"We should conclude Crespo's signing by tomorrow night," said Preziosi.

means like, me and you share the ownership of a certain player, player A. if another club wanna buy this player, and we both agree on the price, then he go can go, if not, he stays.

    something like that should be

Quaresma is one of the biggest flop in modern day football...

Big name, big clubs... Go anywhere, the same result...

Continuous flopped... He should go back to Portugal and try to rediscover his roots...

    Quaresma rejects Genoa move

Chelsea flop Ricardo Quaresma is determined to impose himself at Inter and has turned his back on Genoa.

The Portugal international moved to the San Siro last summer, but fell out of favour with Jose Mourinho and was sent on loan to Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window.

But the skilful player had a negligible impact in the capital and was not offered the chance to stay in London.

For their part, Inter have captured Genoa duo Diego Milito and Thiago Motta, and offered Quaresma to the Italian side, but the winger has turned his back on this option.

He said: “My agent has received offers from other clubs, some of them are in Italy, but I refused. What I want to do is play for Inter. I am not scared of playing under pressure and of being booed by the fans.”
