Real Madrid to outbid Chelsea for £40M+ Ribery

  CHELSEA are locked in talks to sign Bayern Munich ace Franck Ribery for £43million. 

  The two clubs are believed to have agreed the fee and Blues are now thrashing out terms with the 26-year-old French international midfielder.

  Ribery is holding out for a bumper £125,000-a-week salary AFTER tax but Chelsea are reluctant to offer more than £90,000 a week. 

  If the Londoners do close the deal it will be a bitter blow to Premier League rivals Manchester United, who have long wanted the Frenchman as a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

  Full-back Patrice Evra revealed in The Sun that he was hoping to persuade Ribery to join United.

  Chelsea are in transfer talks with Bayern Munich over £43 million wing dazzler Franck Ribery.

  the rest. can reorganize liao.

  Sign a top rated Forward.

  and a few midfielder.. especially right wing. too much pressure is put on bosingwa. he need to defend too right! Maybe Beckham/ribery.  and a Kaka to go with lampard..

  imagine this. Lampard through ball to kaka. kaka goes for the run. pass it on to anellka GOALLLLLLLLLLL

  beckham cross over to malouda/ malouda run. tape it to lampard. lampard has a shot. keeper rebounce it. and Kaka with a finish!

  Bayern deny Ribery reports

  In response to the reports of Chelsea's bid, Bayern have stressed that they are without substance.

  "This story is completely untrue," Bayern media officer Markus Horwick told Deutsche Presseagentur:

  "Franck Ribery remains not for sale."

  Bayern fire Ribery warning

  Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness says £45million would not buy one of Franck Ribery's legs following reports Chelsea are willing to pay that amount for the Frenchman.

  

  Hoeness revealed earlier this week that Manchester United had made a tentative enquiry, should Cristiano Ronaldo leave Old Trafford, while Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been linked with bids.

  However, Hoeness has warned that, if Ribery asks to leave Allianz Arena, his new club will have to smash the world record fee for a footballer.

  "If a player comes to ask for a transfer, we will listen to him and consider his appeal," Hoeness told Bild.

  "However, no one has been in touch with us yet, and I can only insist I will not answer the phone if there are clubs willing to make such bids.

  "You will not even get a leg of Ribery for £45m."

  One of Ribery's agents Jean-Pierre Bernes said: "I am not making a statement on wage demands, I do not want to make any statement on Franck Ribery's future."

  Real Madrid are set to land Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery.

  The Times says Ribéry is set to join Real Madrid for more than £40 million.

  Bayern were originally demanding £50 million for Ribéry, which would break the world record transfer fee of £45.6 million, which Real paid Juventus for Zinédine Zidane in 2001, but the Spanish club are hopeful of concluding the deal for less.

  Real's closest rivals Chelsea have balked at spending more than £40 million on a player they could have signed for less than half that figure two years ago.
