Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has demanded his side start next season strongly as they look to secure their first piece of silverware since 2005.
The Gunners suffered five defeats from the first 14 games this campaign and thereafter faced an uphill task in catching the leading pack.
Wenger's charges, after an improved run in the second half of the term, ultimately finished fourth, while they reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup.
The Frenchman, whose team will reassemble at London Colney on 6th July, is already focused on the 2009/10 campaign and is keen to avoid another slow start.
Wenger said "The league title is a marathon, in which we had a bad start, and when you are running against people who are quick, it is difficult to catch them up.
"That is what we want to change next season - we want to start strongly, it is very important."
Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas says it would be a dream to play for European champs Barcelona.
Speaking to ONA FM, Fabregas said: “Which player would not like to play for a team like that at the moment?
“They are probably the best team that I have seen play in history and I have a lot friends there who are always telling me great things.
“Of course, you feel envy in a healthy way because of the way they play football.
He added: “Everyone's dream would be to play in a team like this.”

Barcelona are preparing a £40 million bid for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
The Sunday Mirror says the newly-crowned kings of Europe have made the Arsenal captain their priority target.
Arsenal signed Fabregas from Barcelona six years ago for a bargain £750,000 as they took advantage of Spanish employment laws concerning young footballers.
Now Barca want him back.
i am not suprised if Arsenal's top players thought of leaving. The past few years, a lot of experienced players have left and youngsters brought in. With this continuos cycle, Arsenal will forever have a 'transitional period' without success. They have got to change their wage policies. But i think Arsene is too stubborn for that. For that, i predict many more years of frustration for my Arsenal friends.

arsene wenger, in short, is not able to build a team who can win so far over the past 5 years....
it is unlikely that he will win again.... he is not as smart .. so even with good luck.. he will still fall short...
therefore: solution is to replace wenger.... simple as that...changing the players wont do much help....
please dun overate barcelona..... they need 180 minutes to score against chelsea..... no team is so superior that they can win matches so frequently...
