  Barcelona directors united over push for Liverpool's Mascherano

  Barcelona are ready to test Liverpool's resolve over midfielder Javier Mascherano.

  Sport says Barca sports chief Txiki Begiristain sees Mascherano as ideal cover for Seydou Keita and Yaya Toure, who will miss part of next season due to the African Nations Cup. Begiristain also intends to sell Eidur Gudjohnsen, who has filled in at midfield in recent months.

  Mascherano is the man Barca want. Indeed, never has Barca's management been so united when discussing a transfer target.

  The Argentina captain is aware of Barca's interest and is willing to wait for the European champs to make their push public.

  Mascherano completed a permanent move to Liverpool more than a year ago already... If I am not wrong, they paid $17m or $18m for him... I am surprised you still think he belongs to Kia Joorabchian's MSI company... Mascherano future has nothing to do with Joorabchian's MSI company anymore...

  *Manchester City are ready to take advantage of an Anfield feud to snatch midfielder Xabi Alonso.* Alonso has had an icy relationship with fellow Spaniard Rafa Benitez, ever since Liverpool boss Benitez tried to sell him last summer. Now, the Mirror can reveal that Alonso heads the list of players wanted by the super-rich Manchester club, and manager Mark Hughes even placed him ahead of Gareth Barry as a target. The City boss wants the pair to form the fulcrum of his midfield, and he is ready to capitalise on a breakdown of the relationship between Alonso and his boss to try to tempt him with a £20million bid. Alonso lost faith in Benitez when he tried to sell him behind his back last summer, and when it seemed the same would happen at the end of this season, he resolved to find himself another club. There has already been contact from Real Madrid, and while – contrary to reports – there has yet to be a concrete bid from the Bernabeu, it seems certain they will follow up interest with an offer in the region of £18m. But the politics at Anfield will prevent a swift conclusion to any deal, and that will allow City the chance to tempt Alonso with a massive deal. After Benitez was heavily criticised for trying to sell Alonso last summer, the player has been his most consistent performer.

  If i am not wrong here , it was a similiar loan deal with Tevez with MU , a loan deal MSI who has the ownership of Mascherano .

  South American ruling quite complex in England .

  Unless it was confirmed permanent which i missed out .

  The last news i saw 2 weeks ago was that when Liverpool proposed a permanent bundle deal of Tevez and Mascherano .

  So we actually got the ownership ? Til last night , i was still thinking that Iranian group still holds his ownership .

  Just missed out , thinking was a similiar loan deal like Tevez .

  And was thinking that time : " what the fuck , 17 million to get a loan deal of 4 years by LFC ? Rich or what ? "

  Come to think of it , 17 million good deal if permananet .

  Aiya, dont bother about icefat lah, he too fat already, from eating too much ice.

   

  My advice is, go watch the CL final again, with a cup of tea kosong and some sugar free mints. After cursing for 90 minutes sure slim down a bit.
