Arjen Robben's future at Real Madrid remains unresolved despite his father and agent, Hans Robben, meeting with club officials to discuss the matter.
Speculation that the winger could be sold to finance more ambitious deals this summer has been rife, but the club revealed that they haven't received any offers for the player.
The 25-year-old has struggled with injuries during his two years at the Bernabeu, but when fully fit he has shown himself to be one of the club's shining lights in what has been a season spent in rivals Barcelona's shadow.
Robben senior admits that his son wants to stay in the Spanish capital but he couldn't confirm whether the Dutch international was in the forefront of manager Manuel Pellegrini's thoughts.
"I have had a meeting with (Jorge) Valdano and (Miguel) Pardeza to speak about my son's future," he told AS.
"They have told me that they have not received any offers for Arjen.
"Arjen wants to stay and selling him would be difficult because Madrid paid 36million Euros to Chelsea for him.
"I cannot respond to that (when asked whether it had been assured if his son had a future at the club). But I can say that they said they were happy with him."
Going to be sold again? ![]()
just dont end up at liverpool, pls
it is quite sad to be "tossed" around, or to be used in player exchange.
I think Robben is a good player and doesn't deserve this.
