Manchester United are already thinking on how they plan to spend the €94 million they will receive if Cristiano Ronaldo completes his transfer to Real Madrid.
The
Red Devils are obviously trying to bolster the squad, especially in the
offensive department, now that their star player is bound to leave.
According to the latest transfer rumours coming from Italy, Sir Alex Ferguson is after Roma striker Mirko Vucinic, who can also play out wide when needed, just like Ronaldo.
"Yes it's true, Vucinic would be one of the club's first choices," declared a source close to the English club to Calciomercato.com. "However, there is no concrete offer yet.
"Personally
I think that the Giallorossi do not want to lose the player at a low
amount, considering that he just renewed his contract with the club
until 2013 recently, but you never know in football.
"Ferguson has asked the club for a striker, but also one who can play as a winger when needed, like Ronaldo used to do."
If
this interest is confirmed, there is a high likelihood that the
transfer will go through, considering that Roma need to sell one or
more of their star players following the failure to reach the Champions
League for next season.
