  Liverpool Football Club has today released the following statement.

  "Despite repeated media speculation on the futures of Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano, Liverpool has received no official approach or offer from any club regarding the players.
   
  "Neither is for sale and furthermore Liverpool has no interest in the long list of Spanish based players being linked with a move to Anfield as part of any deal."

  Good , England will have more local born players to break the scene .

  Bad , the standard might not be so high .

  Another bad , the English players wages and transfer will shoot up .

  Still the richer clubs , will stand to gain . The lesser clubs will still go struggling .

  If English players wages uo and transfer fee up , TV revenue up , our cable broadcasting rights will also up , meaning more $$$ .

  I really hope players from Scotland , Ireland , Northern Ireland and Welsh not consider foreign quotas .

  I know there is many Scottish which is very good .

  strangely, this time round, SAF did not say Ronaldo not for sale..
