Bassong in talks with English clubs

Sebastien Bassong admits he is in talks with two English clubs, with Arsenal, Tottenham and Sunderland all linked with the Newcastle defender.
The 22-year-old Frenchman is one player Alan Shearer had indicated he would like to see the club keep hold of, but with the uncertainty surrounding the club following their relegation from the Premier League, Bassong has chosen to explore his options away from Tyneside.
He told Aujourd'hui Sport: "I have started to negotiate with two English clubs."
