Premier League duo Liverpool and Everton are just two of a string of European sides believed to be interested in signing Sweden U21 hot-shot Marcus Berg this summer.
The 22-year-old front-man netted 13 goals in 15 outings for Groningen in 2008/09 - including four in one match against Roda JC - having scored 18 the previous season.
However, the youngster has shot to fame during the recent U21 European Championships in Sweden, where Berg bagged seven goals in four matches as the hosts eventually bowed out on penalties to England at the semi-final stage.
As well as Liverpool and Everton, Ajax, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Fiorentina, Lazio and Villarreal are believed to be vying for the starlet's services this summer.
And the former IFK Göteborg man has admitted that a move to either England or Spain would fulfil a life-long ambition.
“I like the Spanish league, it’s fantastic. The English is also good," he told Expressen.
“You don’t know when it will happen, but that is what you are dreaming about.”
