Stoke City are set to pounce as Benjani seeks a move away from Manchester City.
With City already having signed Roque Santa Cruz, and in the market for more strikers such as Carlos Tevez and Samuel Eto'o, Benjani does not appear to have a future at Eastlands.
According to The Daily Star, Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is prepared to offer £5 million for the Zimbabwean striker. Man City are keen to cash in on the 30-year-old, and no other clubs have registered a serious interest.
Therefore, the scene appears to be set for Benjani to seal a deal with Stoke.
After scoring a goal against Manchester United on his debut in the derby, Benjani's fortunes at City took a turn for the worse, scoring just three more goals.
