Aston Villa's player's return for pre-season training on Thursday and Cutis Davies is confident the personal fitness they were given by coach Jim Henry will give them an edge.
Davies told the Birmingham Mail: "He gives you a sheet as to what he wants from you and obviously it's designed for your heart-rate, what he wants to be aiming for. We were all given a sheet and a heart-rate monitor watch.
"I always look after myself anyway. They always like to say have two weeks rest and shut down for two weeks then after that start doing something and that's what I've tried to do. It's more about times than distance and it's about your heart-rate.
"You have to do short sharp stuff to get your heart-rate going really high and then you do longer stuff for fat burning. There's a few different things you do, but Jim knows exactly what he's doing so the regimes he's given us are really good."
