Fiorentina are willing to negotiate the sale of Felipe Melo to Arsenal - with Emmanuel Eboue involved in a potential swap deal.

Brazil international Melo had been strongly linked with the Gunners only to put pen to paper on a contract extension at the Viola on June 30.
A buy-out clause, said to be €25million (£21.4m), has been included in Melo's new deal and recent reports have suggested Juventus could match that fee.
However, Fiorentina have claimed Arsenal remain the only side to have made an offer that comes close to activating the midfielder's sale clause.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino, in denying the transfer rumours of the past few hours, which sees Felipe Melo definitely at other clubs and reporting potential meetings to finalise the transfer of the player, underlines the following:
"In case the footballer has already reached an agreement with any club, the release clause fixed with the player himself is €25million. We would not contemplate any exchange, unless it is to the liking of Fiorentina.
"Arsenal is the only club to have come close to the sum established by the release clause.
"Fiorentina in turn proposed to the aforementioned club a reduction in the amount set by the release clause by including right-back (Emmanuel) Eboue in the deal."
Eboue, who signed for the Gunners from Beveren in 2005, has recently grown unsettled at Emirates Stadium and has not ruled out an exit.

Felipe Melo's agent has stressed that the Fiorentina midfielder has not opened talks about a transfer with another club.
Fiorentina issued a statement on Saturday confirming the Brazil international's current contract holds a €25million (£21.4m) buy-out clause.
The Viola also claimed that Arsenal are the only side to have come close to reaching that figure, while they hinted Emmanuel Eboue
could be used as a makeweight in the potential transfer.
Melo's representative, Jose Rodriguez Baster, has now moved to state that discussions between Arsenal and the player are not ongoing as an agreement has not been struck with Fiorentina.
"We are not negotiating with any club, if a team is interested in the player they must first find an agreement with Fiorentina," said Baster.
"There is much talk about Felipe because he has enjoyed a great season. But we are not dealing with any club."
Juventus are also thought to be interested in Melo, who is contracted to Fiorentina until 2013 after the Italian club opted to take up a further year on his previous deal.

First time, I've read about an agent denying a club's statement.
Normally is the other way round.

Fiorentina have claimed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger
is keen to discuss the transfer of Felipe Melo
after the Italian club stated Emmanuel Eboue
would be a 'valid swap'.
The Viola recently confirmed that Melo's new contract extension holds a €25million (£21.4m) buy-out clause, sparking opinion that a deal could be in the offing.
Serie A rivals Juventus are said to be keen admirers of the Brazilian enforcer, but Fiorentina have intimated the Gunners are leading the chase for his signature.
Fiorentina appear interested in striking a deal that would involve wing-back Eboue, who is seeking regular first-team football in the new season.
"(Arsenal manager Arsene) Wenger wants to talk to me," said Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino
to Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I have no objection also because Eboue seems a valid swap."
Corvino
also rejected reports in Italy that Juve are poised to complete the
transfer of Melo, who has explained that he is happy in Florence.
"In order for that (Melo to go to Juve) to happen, there needs to be a payment of €25million as stipulated in his release clause," he said.
"No club has made such an offer and there are no meetings arranged in the near future."

Imagine Eboue becoming an overnight sensation after the transfer!?

arsene you are too slow.
Juventus' bid to sign Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo
could be in jeopardy after the Viola failed to agree terms with Marco Marchionni.
Brazil international Melo's switch to Juve appeared imminent after reports claimed they had beaten Arsenal to his signature.
It is suggested Juve struck an agreement of cash plus right winger Marchionni in order to meet Melo's buy-out clause of £21.6million.
However, Marchionni's agent, Bruno Carpeggiani, has revealed that Fiorentina would not meet the player's wage demands.
"Unfortunately, nothing will be done," Carpeggiani told Gazzetta.it.
"We only asked for €200,000 (£173,000) more than the amount Marco earns at Juventus, but Fiorentina wouldn't agree. It's a pity."

Because most clubs dont wanna waste time chasing de Rossi?
I think he's gonna be like Totti, one of those rare one-club players.

Juventus winger Marco Marchionni has agreed to join Fiorentina in a move that will allow highly-rated Brazilian Felipe Melo to head in the opposite direction in a cash plus player deal.
Juventus will hand over Marchionni and €21m to La Viola to secure the services of defensive midfielder Melo on a five-year contract.
Melo, who was also a target for Premier League club Arsenal, had an impressive season for Fiorentina and was a key figure in Brazil's triumph at the Confederations Cup in South Africa.
The 26-year-old will link up with compatriots Amauri and Diego - a €24.5m summer signing for Werder Bremen - in Turin.
The swap deal was originally expected to be completed on Wednesday, but transfer talks stalled over Marchionni's salary demands.
But on Thursday the Italy international's agent Bruno Carpeggiani said: "The situation has been unlocked, the player has accepted the offer from Fiorentina and is married to the Viola project.
"Official confirmation? We can say that it will arrive in a matter of hours."
Marchionni, 28, added: "Florence was always my first choice."
