New Real Madrid signing Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he was named after former US president Ronald Reagan!
Asked about how his parents came to name him, former Manchester United star Ronaldo told AS: "Ronaldo was because my mother was always an admirer of Ronald Reagan, who was president of the United States, and wanted to give me his name as a gesture of admiration for him.
"And for Cristiano, in Portugal it is a usual name and my family is religious. I really like my two names."
