Real Madrid are preparing a major offer for Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas.
The Independent says Real Madrid are set to exploit Arsenal’s financial woes by making an ambitious swoop for Fabregas.
The Spanish giants are keeping up their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso but if agreement cannot be reached with the Reds, Fabregas is high on their wish-list.
The Gunners will demand £40m for their Spanish star but Real Madrid are confident of negotiating a smaller fee.
Barcelona are willing to discuss a swap with Arsenal for skipper Cesc Fabregas.
The Daily Star says Barca have a budget of £50m, so they could make Arsenal an offer they can’t refuse.
One of Barca’s vice-presidents, Jaume Ferrer, said on radio: “The coach really wants to get on with one of his major midfield signings as quickly as possible.
"We are confident we can land someone that we want and everybody knows what players we are after. They have been constantly mentioned in the press.’’
If Arsenal are not interested in just a cash deal for their skipper, Barca are prepared to offer players in part-exchange.
One player they would offer up is holding midfielder Yaya Toure, who has been on Gunners boss Arsene Wenger’s radar, and is the brother of Arsenal defender Kolo Toure.
if he were to join barcelona, then barcelona midfielder is unbeatable. with messi, xavi, iniesta and feb pulling the strings in midfield, they will pass all other teams and destroy them.

How to fit Fabregas into midfield? Unless he plays holding/defensive midfield? That is definitely not his style...

why not. barcelona play with a lone striker, with a holding midfielder.

why worry abt the formation when he is still at arsenal.

febragas is also a good passer of the ball, like xavi and iniesta.
xavi is already 28, so he will have about 4-5 years of top class football left in him, whereas feb is only 21. he can be the long term replacement for xavi in the heart of barcelona midfield if he decide to rejoin his old club. as for iniesta he is only 25, has 5 years to go before he reached 30. if feb join barcelona, their midfield will only be stronger.
he is on a long term contract, so if arsenal dun want to sell, there is nothing RM or Barcelona can do.
