Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is desperate for Manchester United to come in for him.
The African ace has seen Barcelona accept an offer from Manchester City for his services, but his demands for a massive signing-on bonus has stalled the move.
Sport says United boss Sir Alex Ferguson could change the scenario entirely by making a concrete move for Eto'o. The Cameroon international would be willing to scale down his personal demands for a switch to Old Trafford.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta admits Samuel Eto'o is not returning his calls.
He said last night: "I called Samuel a couple of times, but he hasn't answered the phone. I do not know if the number has changed.
"My feeling is he doesn't want to talk to us. Is he angry with Barca? You'll have to ask him.
"He has just a year's contract left and we are keen to know what his future plans are. I would talk calmly with him."
Laporta
added they had offered Eto'o a two-year contract extension, but added:
"In principle I do not see the possibility (of Eto'o signing)."
Pablo Zabaleta hopes Manchester City can clinch a deal for Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o.
The former Espanyol fullback remarked: "It is clear that Samuel Eto'o would fit in at Manchester City. Nobody doubts his capacity as a player.
"He is a player who gave much to Barca and is very hungry to succeed. Perhaps that is why City insists on his signing, because they know what he can give."

maybe stayed in the club for 2 long and wants a change of environment, or he wants a last major transfer to earn him lot of money, as he is already 28.

Tok everyone knows already that Eto had said he stayed last season is to prove himself when he ,ronaldinho & Deco are deem "surplus" to Barca after 07/08 season.
So he now prove that he's still on top of his game & prob wanna leave & see how Barca rot w/o him......
of course is want a change of environment la. These players are earning big bucks. They want to enjoy playing football at different places.
why fergie dun want to bid for etoo?
It'll be a huge mistake if fergie doesn't bid for him le..really big mistake..
