  CAMPBELL ... heading for Sunderland

   

  STEVE BRUCE has won the £6million fight for Manchester United hitman Fraizer Campbell.

  The England Under-21 ace will complete his switch to Sunderland when he returns from holiday next Thursday.

  Campbell, 21, was also a West Ham and Newcastle target but had looked certain to join Hull after agreeing a four-year deal worth £45,000-a -week.

  But he left Tigers boss Phil Brown reeling after becoming the FOURTH striker to snub the Humberside outfit in a fortnight.

  Michael Owen opted for a move to Old Trafford, French ace Marc-Antoine Fortune chose Celtic and Aston Villa's Marlon Harewood has said he will move to Stoke.

  Brown admitted: "I am very disappointed, although I was always nervous about the deal because of the way it was dragging along."

  Now Brown has stepped up his efforts to land Bobby Zamora by tabling a £4m offer for the 28-year-old Fulham striker.
