Tottenham have tabled a £17million bid for 'The Wild Animal'.
Spurs want to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Negredo whose nickname is 'The Wild Animal of Vallecas'.
Negredo's agent Alejandro Camano claims several clubs from England and Spain have shown an interest with Tottenham well ahead in the queue for the 23-year-old.
Negredo, whose pet name comes from the Vallecas neighbourhood where he grew up in Madrid, scored 19 goals playing on loan for Almeira last season and has previously attracted the attention of Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez.
Sevilla and Villarreal are two of the La Liga clubs thought to be keen on Negredo and Spurs will face stiff competition to sign the Spanish forward.
Real Madrid are keen to offload the player as part of a £100million clear-out following their big-money summer captures. They also hope to sell former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben and his fellow Holland international Klaas-Jan Huntelaar - another pair of possible Tottenham targets.
