Elano agrees Galatasaray move
Manchester
City's Brazil midfielder Elano Blumer has completed his move to
Galatasaray, the Premier League club said on its website on Thursday.
The Brazilian - who scored 18 times in 80 appearances - has
been linked with a move away from Eastlands all summer after struggling
to hold down a place in Mark Hughes’ side last season.
Italian giants Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan were all
reportedly chasing the 28-year-old, but Galatasaray have now
successfully lured him away from Manchester.
Elano has signed until 2013 in a deal believed to be worth around £8
million to City – the fee they forked out for him in 2007 from
Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Blues have been busy in the
transfer market in the close season, signing striking trio Roque Santa
Cruz, Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor, midfielder Gareth Barry and
defender Kolo Toure.
