England goalkeeper coach Ray Clemence admits he's amazed by the presence Three Lions boss Fabio Capello projects.
Clemence said: "Fabio has been the most authoritative that I’ve seen. That’s not to the detriment of those who have gone before, but he’s probably the first one I’ve seen since I’ve been on the coaching staff who has really torn into a player after a game or at half-time.
"I think others, understandably, may have thought that they were only borrowing a player, so there’s no sense ripping into him as he’s going back to his club tomorrow. But Fabio just tells it as he sees it. ‘He’s done it more than once and it’s been different players.
"Knowing the manner of the man now, it doesn’t surprise me. But the first time I saw it, I was very surprised. From day one, he had that respect. He has that aura about him. He’ll walk into a room and you immediately think, “I’m going to listen to this fella”. And he hasn’t even opened his mouth. Shanks was like that."
