Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi will meet coach Leonardo and his technical director Adriano Galliani for transfer talks today. And Gunners skipper Fabregas, 22, will be top of their target list.
Milan are ready to tempt Fabregas with a five-year contract and a big boost to his current £90,000-a-week deal. Leonardo is determined to mount a serious challenge to rivals Inter Milan, who won last season's Serie A title. And Berlusconi is ready to back his new man, who has stepped in to replace boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Fabregas is under contract to Arsenal until 2014 and is a prize asset in their rapidly-emptying dressing room. Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure have already left the club this summer, while Philippe Senderos is attracting interest from Everton.
Moroccan Marouane Chamakh, 25, was locked in talks last night with Bordeaux to try and force a £6m move to Arsenal. The hitman lashed out at the French champions and warned he would be unable to perform for them if they blocked his move to the Premier League.
He admitted Sunderland were also in talks with Bordeaux. Chamakh only has one year left on his deal and could join any club for nothing in January. He said: "Clearly I will stay and see out my contract if Bordeaux shut the door to my move. But it's certain I won't be 100 per cent.
"To miss out on a move to Arsenal will play in my head. I'll feel betrayed. I won't have a good season. "If I go to the end of my contract, it will be a pity for me and for them. Everyone will be a loser."
Lol if he go arsenal also no chance to compete for title liao. He is like the heart of arsenal IMO.
if he goes, all hell break loose in arsenal lols..
Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood insists there is "absolutely no chance" captain Cesc Fabregas will leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The 22-year-old is under contract with the Gunners until 2014 but his future has once again been the subject of much speculation this close-season, with AC Milan having emerged as the latest big-name club to target the Spain midfielder.
However, Hill-Wood does not expect Fabregas to be following Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure out of the north London club's exit door.
He said: "There is absolutely no chance of us selling Cesc and all this talk is just fabrication.
"This sort of thing crops up from time to time and it is something we are perfectly used to. Cesc is happy at Arsenal, as far as I am aware."
teamtalk.
