Despite already bringing in such big names as Thiago Motta, Diego Milito, Lucio and Samuel Eto'o, Inter coach Jose Mourinho is not yet entirely satisfied with the squad at his disposal.
In an interview with Inter Channel, the coach admitted that this Inter side is still missing something.
"I'm still missing a playmaker," he said. "I won't name names but I'm missing a player with different qualities, a more offensive player, someone creative who provides a necessary connection between the first two lines and the third lines."
Inter had agreed with Barcelona that Aliaksandr Hleb would join the Nerazzurri as part of the extraordinary Zlatan Ibrahimovic-Samuel Eto'o exchange deal, but the man from Belarus refused to move to Italy, opting instead to return to Vfb Stuttgart, the club where he had his big break.
"When you analyse a team's squad there is always something missing; there is no perfect squad," Mourinho continued. "I prefer to have Eto'o and Milito than six or seven other options. However, we need some luck with injuries also because in January Eto'o will leave for the African Cup of Nations for 4-5 weeks.
"On the whole, the club made a significant economic effort and I'm satisfied. Also, the team is satisfied and the new playing philosophy has given us new motivation."
Asked what chance his team has of winning the Champions League, he said: "We have a 10% chance. There are 9-10 teams who want to win it, so dividing 100% by ten that's what you get."
He became so humble...what happen to the old Mourinho?
