Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed the club is still interested in Fulham defender Brede Hangeland.
The Norwegian has been the subject of much transfer speculation this summer despite calls from the Cottagers that they will do everything to keep him.
But Wenger admitted there is still interest, even though there has not yet been any contact.
"We had a look at him, but we have not contacted Fulham, have not contacted Hangeland and have not made our choice on him or anybody else," noted Wenger.
The Gunners are hoping to sign a centre-half following the departure of Kolo Toure to Manchester City and the impending move of Philippe Senderos to Everton.
