Aston Villa have asked Tottenham to name their price for midfield pair David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas.
The Guardian says no offer has been tabled but Villa are believed to have sounded out the likely cost of the two midfielders.
Spurs are eager to offload Bentley, who endured a miserable first season at the club after joining from Blackburn Rovers last summer, while Jenas's future is unclear. The indications are that Tottenham could be willing to do business for the pair, although, as yet, not at a price that Villa would be prepared to pay.
