  Barcelona must land Arsenal skipper Cesc before Tuesday

  The future of Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas will be decided next week.

  The Sun says Gunners fans face a nail-biting wait until Tuesday to see if Fabregas joins Barcelona.

  The Catalans offered £27million but Arsenal value their skipper at £40m.

  Barca must now decide if they are willing to cough up the huge sum before Arsenal begin their Champions League campaign against Celtic on Tuesday.

  If Gunners skipper Fabregas, 22, plays against the Scots that will make him ineligible for Barcelona in Europe this season - and the Catalans will abandon their chase.

  Barcelona want Cesc to demand Arsenal transfer

  Barcelona management know the only chance of prising Cesc Fabregas away from Arsenal this summer is if the midfielder demands a move.

  Sport says Arsenal are willing to negotiate Cesc's sale from a starting point of £40 million, while Barca refuse to go higher than £25 million for the Gunners captain.

  The impasse can be overcome if Cesc takes a leaf out of Xabi Alonso's book and demands a move from Arsenal. Barca are banking on the sales of Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure to Manchester City having unsettled Cesc.

  If they were to land Cesc, Barca would be reuniting their youth team under coach Pep Guardiola, which would include the Arsenal captain, Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique and Victor Vazquez, all of whom came through the same junior team.

  i am not saying cesc is excellent. but arsenal has no one to fill his boots if he leave.

  why are AW selling more players than he can ever replace? especially here is KPKB about lack of experience for his kids there he sell the experience nanny  to other clubs. how are the kids suppose to learnt the right tricks to survive in the EPL?

  Dad admits Barcelona move "not impossible" for Arsenal's Cesc

  Cesc Fabregas' father cannot rule out the Arsenal captain returning to Barcelona.

  Francesc Fabregas told COM Radio yesterday that his son's proposed move to Barca "is difficult, but not impossible".

  Fabregas Snr added, however, that he couldn't see the deal happening in the remaining weeks of the summer market because Cesc is very attached to Arsenal, where he has been for the past six years.

  Arsenal boss Wenger tells Barcelona: Give us Messi for Cesc

  Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he's ready to sell Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona - for Lionel Messi in return!
  Wenger said: "I have made a bid for Messi and nobody speaks about it.

  "They said he's £125m. It's the same.

  "There is no chance we will sell Cesc.

  "Do you really think we would sell our players one day before the championship starts, the basis of our team? No chance."

  When Wenger was told that Fabregas has Barcelona blood in him, the Gunners manager replied: "A man is always defined by the way he is committed to his contract and that has nothing to do with the blood he has.

  "Cesc is committed to the club. He has told me that and told that to the Press.

  "We cannot master the noises coming out of Spain. It is not him who encourages the idea. We are not in a weak financial position, we don't need to sell anybody.

  "He has always been very committed, this is his sixth year and what he wants is to win trophies for this club."

  Wenger jokes about Arsenal signing Messi!

  Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been joking the Gunners will buy Barcelona's Messi should the Spanish outfit succeed in signing Cesc Fabregas.

  Fabregas began his career at Barca before moving to England in 2003 and speculation has hinted that he could be interested in switching back to his homeland.

  The Frenchman said: "I have made a bid for Messi and nobody speaks about that. Barcelona's response? £125million!

  Wenger added in the Daily Star: "He (Fabregas) is committed to the club and he has told me that and told that to the press.

  "We cannot master the noises coming out of Spain. In Spain they have the same problems in the newspapers looking for headlines.

  "When they have no ideas any more, they come out with a Fabregas story. It is not him who encourages the idea.

  "It is the press who encourages the idea. Where does that come from? Does it come from Fabregas? It comes from Spain."

  Barcelona boss Guardiola rules out buying Arsenal's Cesc

  Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has ruled out trying to buy Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas before the summer market shuts.

  "Cesc will not come," said the Barca boss. "He is an important player for Arsenal and they have already sold Kolo (Toure) and (Emmanuel) Adebayor.

  "I believe it will not be possible this season. He is a very interesting footballer but now he will play another year in England."
