“If I had to choose between facing Berbatov or Owen, I would go for Owen,” said Taylor.
“When we have played against him we have always held a deeper line and stopped him from running on to the ball over the top, which he likes to do so well.
“That was his big strength but we seemed able to nullify that and he wasn’t so effective against us.
“I played against Berbatov in pre-season when he first came over here and played for Spurs. He absolutely tore us apart and scored two goals.
“It was just ridiculous, his talent and ability. Some of the things he does with ease are amazing – I’d pay to watch him. Technically he is brilliant.
“They are both quality players, though, and we will have to be on our toes no matter who United name in their team.”
