Chelsea skipper John Terry is taking on his new contract negotiations himself.
The Daily Mail says Terry has split with his long-term agents Icon Sports Management in order to take more personal control of his football business off the pitch.
Terry's decision means he has been negotiating his £151,000-a-week contract with Chelsea himself, along with a lawyer, but without the 24/7 agency support he had previously enjoyed.
But it also means Terry will not be paying a slice of his massive salary for the rest of his playing career to a football agency, preferring instead to work with PR, legal and commercial specialists when the occasion demands.
