Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp knows he's had to change the mentality at the club.
He revealed: "After speaking to the players at Hull, we went to have a cup of tea in a kit room which had Phil Brown's flipchart with comments on it. The first one was 'Nice v Nasty'.
"They were nasty and we were the nice, that was how he saw it.
"That's how teams have seen Tottenham over the years. When I was at Portsmouth we used to batter 'em. We used to beat them, get after them and not let them play, and get in their faces. That's what teams were doing to Tottenham.
"Now we're getting stronger. People like Palacios give us that strength. They know that he's in there and is going to be putting his foot in. He's as strong as anybody and it's important you have one or two like that.
"Tom's got the ability to be a top, top player. We've been saying that for a few years now, but maybe this will be the year he really emerges and proves it.
"Last week, against Liverpool, he won his tackles, got his toe in and hit balls away from people, as well as playing."
