  Adebayor tells Sir Alex: Man City will finish above Man Utd

  Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has told Sir Alex Ferguson: We will finish above Manchester United this season.

  "The goal is not to be bigger than Manchester United, but to be bigger than everybody," he told the News of the World.

  "We want to dominate both England and Europe, so that doesn't mean being bigger than just Chelsea or Manchester United, but bigger than Madrid and AC Milan as well.

  "When people are picking City over the biggest clubs in Europe you know that we must be on the brink of something very special. I don't think it will be long before we are the top team in Manchester. People talk about it being in a year's time, but I have the belief it can be this season. With the squad we have I see no reason why we can't do amazing things this year."

  Aiya, if he wanted Man City to be bigger than everybody, he would claim that Man City will win the Premier League.

   

  Ever wonder why nobody from Man City has outright said that they will win the Premier League this year? 

   

  Haven't even qualified for CL already so yaya.

  Very true..one of the Top 4 wont finish in top 4 this season...and by the looks of things so far, its either Man U, or Liverpool

  Too early to tell lah..ManU out of top 4? That's very unlikely...they will be challenging for the title for sure...the top 4 will remains there...

  this season is going to be very exciting and it is going to be very close, with the likes of spurs, villa and city adding to the mix, not necessarily they will win the league title or finish in the top 4.

   

  chelsea strikers are weak on the bench, as they have signed free transfer sturridge from city. what if drogba or anelka is out injured or need to freshen up things in the latter stages? ok kalou can double up as a striker, but he is no striker and is a squad player. last season chelsea started very well, but faded in the latter stages of the season.

   

  as for liverpool, too reliant on torres and gerrard as usual. if one are injured, that's it. not to mention the sale of alonso. I dun think they will repeat their form of last season again.

   

  sure utd will miss ronaldo goals, as was the case with the loss to burnley. created alot of chances, but failed to convert them. its hard for them to retain the title, but never say never. if they dun retain the title this season, they will spend big and buy for next season using ronaldo's cash.

   

  as for arsenal, they will improve from last season's poor showing. although they started brightly, its the latter stages in march and april season that is crucial. hope they dun fizzle out and run out of steam by then.

  blah blah.. that's because they're not good enough for the only other sucker club paying shitloads, Real Madrid...

  and no one else is willing to pay those unreasonable sums of money for them... they've mostly been offloaded by their former clubs because their former clubs know they are money-faced and ultimately won't do much for them and may actually serve to wreck Citeh in the long term..

  wait till city wins something first then crow lar. till date chelsea has not even won its first CL after roman took over in 2003. they almost won it with the last penalty kick in last season CL, but finishing runner's up is not good enough I suppose.

  to be fair, City on paper is good for the league.

  Givens, Richards, Bridge, Toure, Lecott, Barry, and their 4 strikers.

  only if MU do well, can they best a City..

  Seriously, it's not even christmas yet.

   

  If by christmas, they are in the Top 3, then can yaya a bit.

   

  But until that happens, they should just let their football do the talking in case they embarass themselves later on.
