Should Arsenal striker Eduardo face a UEFA ban for his outrageous dive against Celtic?

RAGE ... Arsene Wenger
ARSENE WENGER says UEFA's decision to charge Eduardo is "a witch hunt." The Arsenal boss is seething that Euro chiefs have put his Croatian striker in the dock for diving to earn a penalty in Wednesday's Champions League win over Celtic.
He raged: "It is a witch hunt. What else is it? If you take all the games in Europe every week I will give you 10 cases where UEFA can charge a player. "Diego Maradona scored with his hand against England in the World Cup and no one charged him.
"We will defend our player. We will take it as far as we can. "I am 100 per cent against diving but this is a complete disgrace. We will not accept the way UEFA has treated this case."
UEFA acted after Scottish FA chief Gordon Smith called for them to throw the book at Eduardo. Wenger said: "People have reacted emotionally. This case has been ruled by the media and emotionally by the Scottish FA.
"Scottish people are working at UEFA. This case is more sensitive because they have more influence there. "Do you now charge every defender who tries to cheat the referee? Why not? How many defenders pull the shirt of a striker?

Eduardo has been charged with "deceiving the referee" and could be banned for two matches
"It is trying to cheat the referee. Why are they not charged? "Do you want me to take situations from the game against Celtic? It was on both sides so why do you not charge?"
Eduardo has been charged with "deceiving the referee" and could be banned for two matches if UEFA find him guilty at Tuesday's hearing. Wenger said: "I believe you can debate whether it was a penalty or not.
"In this case they don't judge 'is it a penalty or not'. They're judging whether Eduardo is a cheat or not. That's where I don't agree. When you watch it's not conclusive."
Wenger added: "I have fought my whole life against cheating and I've seen obvious cases where UEFA didn't intervene.
"They have opened a very dangerous door here. It means every decision made by a referee can from now on be challenged. So we will from now challenge every decision in Europe, I tell you."
