Everton boss David Moyes hopes to have funds to move for Tottenham winger David Bentley.
The Sunday Mirror says Moyes will this week look to Everton chairman Bill Kenwright to find the funds that will enable him to make a £10m move for Tottenham’s out-of-favour Bentley.
With Wolves due a 10% slice of the Lescott transfer fee, Moyes now wants the Goodison board to back him with extra cash to tempt Spurs into selling Bentley.
The England winger has had a nightmare year at White Hart Lane since moving there from Blackburn for £15m.
Everton failed with a bid to take the 25-year-old on loan, but Moyes is banking on the Goodison board finding him some extra cash so that he can tempt Spurs into deal.
