Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill intends to make some late moves in the transfer market before the window closes.
Referring to the expected arrival of Manchester City defender Richards Dunne, he said: "I have not heard anything today. Concentration was totally on the game.
"But we will obviously try and add to the squad before Tuesday at five o'clock."
O'Neill reflected on a successful seven days: "It's pleasing to have won at home because our home form wasn't fantastic last season and certainly didn't match our away form.
"I'm delighted we've won three games in a week.
"The team - other than Curtis Davies who wasn't fit - who played so brilliantly at Anfield deserved a second crack."
