  Standard bad boy's ban reduced

  Standard Liege midfielder Axel Witsel has had his suspension for the tackle which broke Anderlecht defender Marcin Wasilewski's leg reduced.

  

  The 20-year-old was initially banned until November 23 for the reckless tackle last weekend in which Wasilewski's lower leg snapped in half.

  That ban took in 11 games, but the total has now been reduced to eight after the appeal committee decided the foul could not be definitively ruled intentional.

  Witsel has apologised for the tackle, claiming it was not intentional.
