Manchester City are reportedly planning to raise their concern with Manchester United officials about a racist Emmanuel Adebayor chant.
The two clubs are due to meet at Old Trafford on September 20 and, according to the Daily Telegraph, City are aware of an Adebayor chant circulating on the internet.
Officials from the two clubs will hold talks ahead of the fixture in an attempt to avoid any trouble.
Previous meetings led to the strict observance of the minute's silence on the anniversary of the Munich disaster, but this time their meeting will address possible racism towards City's new signing.
A United spokesman told the Telegraph: "These kind of chants have no place in the modern game and we will enforce the ground regulations, and also hope that the police enforce the law."
Meanwhile, City will use their programme for the home game with Arsenal to urge supporters not to indulge in vile Munich chants at Old Trafford.
